Chapter 1 - Janice and Jerry Janice
Thanks to the traffic, I was running late. I was supposed to meet Jerry at the bar over twenty minutes ago. Jerry's a guy from the office I have the hots for. He's a really nice guy. That's part of why I asked him to meet him now. I stepped into the noisy establishment and looked around, trying to spot my friend. A waving arm catches my eye, and I smile to see Jerry hailing me in a corner booth.
"Hey," We exchanged greetings as I slid into the booth. "I'm sorry I'm late. My appointment ran late and traffic was killer!"
"Don't worry about it." Jerry grinned at me. We ordered drinks and discussed the latest office buzz.
"So, what was it you wanted to talk to me about?" Jerry asked over a swig of his beer. Oh yeah. I had almost forgotten myself. I sit straighter, sobering up. I take a deep breath before I drop the news on him.
"I've been diagnosed with a rare tumor. It's curable-" I quickly added, seeing Jerry's concerned expression. "But the prescription I
The Giants Toy Shop Ch1 Amanda was talking with her friend on the phone, complaining how her summer is now officially ruined and all that junk... She was your typical teenage girl, brown hair that was straiten and styled in an up due, her make-up covering the true face underneath, and the strong sent of cucumber watermelon lotion. She nagged saying she doesn't even know what her uncle Jerry looks like. Her mom talked about him a lot but never mentioned anything about where he lived and little about what he looked like. Amanda continued talking on the phone, the train empty and headed for its last stop. Once it came to a halt she had didn't notice at all, still talking on the phone and feeling the ground rumble beneath her fee
I Was the First Chapter 3"Well do something!" the scarier giant shouted to the one behind me. "How else are we going to know if she can talk?!"
"I I can't," the kinder one said in an almost pitying voice. "I can't just grab her. She's not some animal."
"She she is a human! They are practically the same as most rodents!" he shouted, dumbfounded. How could these giants think about humans that way? I was shocked to realize that they probably both believed these horrible ideas. I was the same as them, being only considerably smaller. We both wore clothes, we both could articulate our thoughts and feelings, I should just explain all of this to them but I was so scared at the time! I dared to peak my eyes out from under my arms and saw the one giant's hand palm down in the sand only a few feet away from my body now.
I was so sure that that hand was going to grab me. What would happen to me then?
